The vehicle, according to Cameron’s National Fleet Manager, Greg Morris, will work out of the company’s depot at Yatala, Queensland, and is expected to see active service in late July 2021.

This rigid has a number of outstanding featuring including Fleetmark Pronto buckle-less curtains, TransKing winches and Transking Quickstrap MK II“The body has been purpose built with a low height (max. height 3.4m) so we are able to service a number of customers with height access limitations,” said Morris. “This rigid has a number of outstanding featuring including Fleetmark Pronto buckle-less curtains, TransKing winches and Transking Quickstrap MK II.”

Cameron’s has been using TransKing winches for some time now, according to Morris.

“When Transking Managing Director, Lindsay King, demonstrated the Quickstrap MK II in action, it seemed a natural progression to fit them to our vehicles,” he said.

“For years now the transport industry has suffered drivers with shoulder and elbow injuries through trying to throw load binder straps across freight when restraining loads.

“The Quickstrap system removes the need for drivers to climb steps to pass straps over loads and from trying to throw straps over loads.

“It can all be done safely with little effort from the ground. The driver just hooks the load binder strap into the Quickstrap using an extension pole and then pulls the strap across the load from the other side of the vehicle. It is quick, it takes little effort and most of all it is safe.”

Morris added that the TransKing winches are also great.

“They take less effort to realise more down force than a standard drum winch,” he said. “The cantilever winch handle and clockwise rotation of the tensioner removes all risk of drivers slipping and hitting their head or face on the side of the vehicle.”

Morris said Cameron’s is always on the lookout for new technology and innovative equipment that will reduce risk of injury. “The Australian made TransKing Quickstrap MK II fulfils that requirement.”Morris said Cameron’s is always on the lookout for new technology and innovative equipment that will reduce risk of injury. “The Australian made TransKing Quickstrap MK II fulfils that requirement.”

Award winning load restraint technology specialist, TransKing, has supported Australia’s road transport industry for more than 25 years. As a result of continuous development, the original equipment manufacturer expanded its portfolio earlier this year following the launch of Quickstrap MK II.
